Robert McGinnis` career as an artist is explored from the 1950s when he gained fame as a painter for Dell paperback book covers, through the 1960s when he created posters for such movies as "Breakfast at Tiffany`s", "Cotton Comes to Harlem" and numerous James Bond features, up to the present as a magazine illustrator and landscape painter. The film includes interviews with contemporary illustrators such as Dave Stevens and Jim Silke and follow McGinnis through his creative process.
