Charlie Stevens is the son of a high-powered lawyer, who wants Charlie to follow in his footsteps. Charlie's in college and is doing well, but he can't sleep and has strange dreams. Something is wrong with Charlie, but he doesn't know what. He returns home at semesters-end to his family; a cute, independent-minded sister, his meek mother and his workaholic father. While home, he runs across a couple of slacker friends of his from high-school who like to party - a strange, new world for Charlie. Hoping for a change, Charlie goes to one of their parties and meets free-spirited & quirky Abby. As Charlie and Abby's relationship blossoms, she helps him realize what's wrong in his life and how to fix it.
