According to the project's Kickstarter, Not Me, Murphy tells the "simple" story of a man with dissociative identity disorder. It's part spiritual journey and part case study, narrated by Murphy's care-taking girlfriend Lynn. After a visit from her odd-ball mother, Lynn leaves Murphy, prompting him to take to the country with Brad, a mutual friend. Out in nature, surrounded by gun enthusiasts, their awkward-charming journey takes an unexpected turn. It's thrilling to study the very unwell mind, and to imagine its heights and depths without having to experience it first-hand.
