This is the adaptation of Nikos Chatziapostolou's operetta by the same name. It takes us back to the old Athens of 1920, where we watch the comical erotic adventures of an "apache". It was presented as the first Greek sound film, with its soundtrack (songs only), played on gramophone records. The basic roles were played by opera singers, who also appeared on stage: Ioannis Prineas, Petros Kyriakos and Marina Mantineiou. The story is about an "apache" (a street-urchin, a city tramp) whom they all call "Prince" and whose real name is Kostas. Kostas saves two naive people from a brutal beating. A pretty seamstress, Titika, who happens to come by, attends to his minor wounds, and they fall in love with each other. A week later, Kostas is paid to impersonate a Byzantine prince at the reception of a newly rich family of Greek-American Xenofon Paralis, his pretty daughter Vera, and his spinster sister Areti.
