A chance on a shipbuilding site. By an abusive administrative measure, taken by a manager and too easily accepted by others, a worker is released from his employment contract. Following a notification, one of the secretaries of the county party committee arrives on the site. It does not conduct an investigation, as many believe and some fear, but it causes all members of this community to review the situation and discover the truth.
