Trying to avoid a gang conspiring to assassinate him, wealthy businessman Stuart Granger ( Herbert Rawlinson ) persuade his unsuspecting cousin, Jack Burton ( Herbert Rawlinson ), to impersonate him. Jack survives several attempts on his life, gradually realizes what is happening, he soon falls in love with Mercia Solano ( Barbara Bedford ), the leader of the gang. Meanwhile, Stuart is killed and Mercia is happy when she learn Jack's real identity.
