简介

Among several works on the Brazilian military dictatorship, few touch on the subject of "the disappeared politicians." Vala Common, John Godoy, an episode is almost forgotten by the newspaper industry: the bones of political activists who fought the dictatorship and who were buried in mass grave in the cemetery of Turkeys in Sao Paulo. Officially, the dictatorship did not admit that there was torture in the country, therefore, to explain the corpses resulting from the sessions was not enough plant Toture notes in the newspapers justifying the killings in clashes with police or pedestrians on the trail of prisoners. It was necessary to hide the physical evidence. First, the victims were buried in individual graves without identification and were then placed, along with other bodies in the trench by a backhoe. Only with the insistent work of family members and groups like the Torture Never Again, is that during the administration of Mayor Luiza Erundina, the ditch was discovered and began the work of identification. However, the work was stopped and the family continue the battle to identify the victims. The stunning documentary features interviews with family members, and important archival footage in which the paradoxes of time are exposed. While the military took office promising to comply with the law, more crimes were committed by the Brazilian state holds both on the streets. Other interesting passages show the jingles of patriotism and the celebrations of the third championship of soccer while the bags of bones are removed from the ditch.
