The Man of Glass draws the viewer into the life of Tchaikovsky by means of one of his most popular pieces, the String Serenade. Living in Russia in the 19th century, Tchaikovsky led a life crowned with success. In the backstages of an Italian theater or among the romantic countryside, dancers and actors enact in a moving way various aspects of the composer's intimate life: his hidden homosexuality, the relationship with his wife Antonina, his strange ties to Baroness Von Meck, his patron, and the persecution complex that led ultimately to his death.
