Anatoly, the main character of "Summer pasture", used to live in the country. He is now trying to buy a house from his ex-neighbor in said country. The middle man, a sharp, nimble guy, brings up some rumors about the house. He then tells Anatoly to ignore these silly fairy tales. Anatoly decides to sleep in his new house. That's when his long dream begins. But is it really a dream? It's a haunting movie, immersing the viewer not unlike Thomas Ligotti's smart horror stories. Time seems to be getting distorted, trapping the hero in its vortex. He keeps wandering around in this "misty kingdom". It feels like he enters the domain of the evil witch Louhi, the master of the underworld from the finnish epic poem Kalevala.
