Keung-Je who left his wife Ah-Si 20 years ago with Hong-Do, kind of a hostess, to Manchuria, comes back to his wife, saying he'll make a good husband from now on. His son Bong-Ku who loves Hong-Do's daughter gets persuaded to marry Ok-Sun. Eun-Sim, a biological mother of Bong-Ku, comes to meet her son, but Bong-Ku leaves her and goes to Manchuria to evade being drafted. But he gets arrested by Japanese police and transferred to Siberia. Hearing this news, Keung-Je gets shocked to death in Ah-Si's arms, saying Eun-Sim's name.
