埃米尔·赫里斯托，Emil Christov was born in Sofia in 1956. He completed his secondary education at the College of Photography, and went on to study Cinematography at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia. From 1982 till 1990 he was head of cinematographers' unit at Vreme Film Studio.
