James Locascio was born December 29, 1965 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Marilyn Locascio and James Locascio Sr. His mother is of Irish descent and his father Italian, both were born and raised in New Orleans. His mother and father were avid music lovers when he was a child. This is when he discovered he wanted to be a singer.
