利马·杜阿尔特,Lima Duarte was born on March 29, 1930 in Sacramento, Minas Gerais, Brazil as Ariclenes Venâncio Martins. He is an actor and director, known for Roque Santeiro (1985), Capital Sin (1975) and Sargento Getúlio (1983). Doubled the voice of Top-Cat ("Manda-Chuva" in Portuguese), Wally Gator and Dum-Dum (Touche Turtle friend). Father of Monica Martins (a lawyer), Pedro Martins and Júlia Martins and stepfather of Débora Duarte and grandfather of Paloma Duarte. Pioneer of Brazilian TV, appeared in the first shows of TV Tupi, in 1950. In "Os Sete Gatinhos" (1980), he played Regina Casé's father. In "Eu Tu Eles" (2000), twenty years later, he played her husband. Parents: Antônio Martins and América Martins. Moved to São Paulo at the age of 16. Worked in Tv Tupi. Between 1953 and 1960 Lima Duarte won the Roquette Pinto Award for best Tv actor. Won the SACI Award for his work in the theater play "O Testamento do Cangaceiro" (1961). In 1977 he won the Award for best actor in the Brasília Festival for "O Crime de Zé Bigorna". In 1983 he won the Award for best actor in the Gramado Festival for "Sargento Getúlio". He's considered one of the Brazilian best actor of his generation. Grandfather of Laura (Júlia's daughter), Beto, Fábio and Karina.
