James Daniel Nell，Born and raised in Sandy, Utah, Daniel didn't find his way to the entertainment industry until he was in his late 20's. In 1998 he sold his first screenplay to an independent film company, Dreamland Productions. This became the first in a series of events that lead him to eventually attend the University of Utah's film program in 2002.
