Alexei Markov，Russian actor Alexei Markov, was born in Kalinin town, USSR (100 miles from Moscow). An only child, he was raised by his mother, an economist by profession, and by his grandparents; a choreographer and a physics teacher. He began acting, doing theatre in high school.
