J. Patrick Southern，Patrick was born in the plains of Oklahoma. He began filmmaking at the ripe old age of 3, making a stop-motion cartoon with his father using a 16mm Bolex and a homemade flatbed editing station. He majored in multimedia production in college. After college he worked at an Apple Store for two years before moving with his wife to Los Angeles.
