Aljean Harmetz was born on December 30, 1929 as Aljean Meltsir Levin. She is a writer and producer, known for The Making of 'The Wizard of Oz' (1979), The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: 50 Years of Magic (1990) and To Oz! The Making of a Classic (2009). She has been married to Richard Harmetz since August 9, 1959. They have three children.
