Ali Mazrui was born on February 24, 1933 in Mombasa, Coast Province, Kenya as Ali Al'Amin Mazuri. He was a writer, known for The Africans: A Triple Heritage (1986) and Motherland (2010). He was married to Pauline Uti and Molly Vickerman. He died on October 12, 2014 in Binghamton, New York, USA.
