Jake Thompson, born on May 4, 1984, grew up in Queens Village, New York. He attended Holy Cross High School in Flushing, NY. In his junior year, the work he produced in his TV Production class made him realize that he wanted to be a storyteller. Discovering that he wanted to make movies, he decided to pursue it in college.
