Anesti Vega was born in New Orleans in 1982 and had traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe shortly thereafter. After settling down in Florida in 1987, he was involved in many sports including soccer and wrestling. At the age of 12, Anesti was exposed to the martial arts through the video game Mortal Kombat.
