Mindy Smith，Adopted while a baby by a pastor and his wife, Mindy grew up in Long Island, New York. While there, she developed a passion for music and started to sing when she was at a very young age. In 1991, her mother lost her battle to cancer, prompting she and her father to move down to Knoxville, Tennessee.
