Vili Tzankov was a Bulgarian Theater and Film director, and a writer. He had made about 130 theater performances, 15 films; the most important among them are Between the Rails (1964), The Demon of the Empire (TV serial, 1971), The Weddings of King Yoan Asen (1975). His father Hrisan Tzankov was managing director of the National Theater.
