Y. Eileen Traub，Born in Okinawa, the child of an American WWII veteran and Japanese mother, Eileen grew up in Old Ripley/Pocahontas, a small farming community in Southern Illinois where her father was raised. This same area later became the birthplace of country music artist, Gretchen Wilson.
