Harry John Stites，Entering the Merchant Marine at the tender age of 15, Harry travelled the world over, before joining the U.S. Lighthouse Service in 1936. Always an avid photographer, Stites was assigned to a Joint Servie Command of the Armed Forces under the aegis of the U. S Coast Guard, as a field photographer.
